Oocyte health is a crucial factor in managing fertility in women with PCOS, yet this is often overlooked in clinical settings. Folliculogenesis is compromised by the various elements of PCOS including androgen excess, inflammation, and insulin resistance. In this talk, practitioners will learn updated research about the causes of PCOS as well as practical strategies to improve ovarian function and oocyte quality with natural medicine and nutrition.

 

Learning Objectives

1) Attendees will learn how PCOS and its unique hormonal features impact oocyte development and quality

2) Attendees will learn natural treatments for ovarian health in PCOS including nutritional supplements, dietary adjustments and botanical medicine. 

3) Attendees will gain an updated understanding of the metabolic factors in PCOS  as well as natural treatments and lifestyle modifications that can reverse insulin resistance.

Fiona McCulloch, BSc., ND
