Description

This talk will provide the viewer an updated understanding of the most current research on PCOS, helping clinicians unravel the mysteries of this complex endocrine and metabolic condition in individual patients. Different presentations of PCOS as well as the evolution of the condition throughout the lifespan will be discussed. Strategies to manage PCOS with clinical applications such as supplementation and the food insulin demand will be presented. In addition, some of the newest theory on immunology and PCOS, as well as the neuroendocrinology of the condition will be detailed.

 

Learning Objectives

  1. Clinicians will learn research updates on PCOS pathophysiology.
  2. Clinicians will learn research updates on integrative approaches to PCOS including clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, supplementation.
  3. Clinicians will achieve the ability to assess PCOS patients in the clinic through the accurate reading of laboratory testing, clinical signs and symptoms of the disorder. They will gain clarity about how to assess and treat PCOS throughout the differing phases of the condition throughout a woman's lifespan. 
Fiona McCulloch, BSc., ND

Dr. Fiona McCulloch, the founder and owner of White Lotus Integrative Medicine in Toronto has worked with thousands of people seeking better health over the past 18 years of her practice. She serves on the medical advisory committee of the PCOS Awareness Association and is a featured speaker at many events within the PCOS and infertility communities.
