Over the past 10 years, many scientific studies have been published looking at the impact of certain micronutrients on several aspects of female reproductive health, including ovarian reserve, oocyte quality, uterine receptivity and PCOS . This lecture will look at recent published evidence that either supports or refutes the benefits of several nutrients, including vitamin D, DHA, coenzyme Q10, DHEA and the inositols. 

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the different aspects of female reproductive health that may be influenced by micronutrient supplementation
  2. Understand the impact of DHEA, coenzymeQ10 and inositol supplementation on ovarian reserve and egg quality
  3. Understand the impact of vitamin D and DHA on uterine receptivity and delivery term.

Dr. Ratner  is the Regional Director of Male Reproductive Medicine at Shady Grove Fertility Center in Washington, DC.  He is also the Medical Director of Theralogix, a Washington, DC based company which develops products focused on nutrition and reproductive health.
