Description:

The po soul is the least understood of the five spirits and yet, it may be the most important for gynecological issues as well as for healing and transformation at this time on the planet.  The focus of this talk will be on the po soul's relationship to the mother's essences and the transmission of ancestral memory including trauma memory and inherited unconscious response patterns. Drawing from personal and clinical experience as well as ancient Chinese texts and modern research in neuroscience and genetics, we will explore how encoded memory is passed between generations resulting in tendencies to respond in otherwise unexplainable ways to specific stimuli. Physiological, energetic and psycho-spiritual aspects will be discussed from the viewpoint of ancient Chinese medicine, modern Western science, Western archetypal psychology and alchemy.

We will discuss how this phenomenon shows up at various points in the fertility, pregnancy and birth process. In addition, we will begin to explore how practitioners can recognize and work with the resulting symptoms and potentially interrupt the transmission of negative patterns from mother to child.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the seminar, practitioners will have:

  • An understanding of the relationship between the po souls, the essences and inherited ancestral memory.
  • An ability to recognize symptoms related to ancestral memory including inherited trauma at various points in the fertility, pregnancy and birth process.
  •  An introduction to basic skills and tools for working with the po soul and potentially interrupting the transmission of negative patterns.
